The mission of the MBA is to field competitive youth basketball teams that focus on skill development, preparation, competing at a high level and team success. The MBA will provide in season and off-season programs to build basketball skills.
The recreation program for 4th through 6th grade boys will begin game play on the weekend of January 5th/6th. All teams will play an 8 game regular season and 2 playoff games. The kids will be assigned to a team prior to the start of the season in January.
4th grade boys will represent the Southeast Conference (SEC) and include 6 teams: Alabama; Kentucky; Florida; Tennessee; LSU and Vanderbilt. The season begins on January 5th and 6th. 4th grade boys games will be either on Saturdays at 2:45p at the Madison Junior School or Sundays at 12:10p or 1:20p at the Madison High School. Parents are reminded to check the schedule for exact time each week.
5th grade boys will represent the Big East Conference (BEC) and include 6 teams: UConn; Notre Dame; Pittsburgh; Villanova; Louisville and Georgetown. The season begins on January 6th. 5th grade boys games will be either on Saturday at 2:45p at MJS or Sunday at 12:10p or 1:20p at the Madison High School Main Gym. Parents are reminded to check the schedule for exact time, day and location each week.
6th grade boys will represent the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and include 4 teams: UNC; Duke; Boston College and Miami. The season begins on January 6th. 6th grade boys games will be at either 2:30p or 3:40p at the Madison High School Main Gym.
